CSQ FUNDING
CSQ FUNDING AVAILABILITY ANNOUNCEMENT
We are delighted to announce that:
“We have been selected as one of the core groups of RTOs delivering Construction Skills Queensland-funded training in CSQ’s new training year. We look forward to supporting individuals and businesses to unlock new opportunities in the building and construction industry through training.”
CSQ FUNDING ELIGIBILITY
To avail CSQ Funding:
- You must be:
- an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident; or
- a Participant who has the right to work in Australia on a valid VISA prescribed by Construction Skills Queensland and has been employed in the Building and Construction Industry for a period of 6 months or more, and is
- an Eligible Worker in Queensland (refer to exceptions), or is
- an unemployed Eligible Worker who has been unemployed for a period not greater than 6 months in Queensland.
- And must not be:
- an Apprentice or Trainee;
- undertaking the Training as part of an Apprenticeship or Traineeship;
- an Employee of an Authority;
- currently enrolled and participating in a Queensland secondary school program;
- a contracted trainer or assessor or existing worker of an RTO;
- funded by an Authority or such other source for delivery of the same training being undertaken as part of this Program;
- enrolled in more than one (1) Skill Set or Qualification at a time under this Program and the Skills Assessment and Gap Training Program which is 1 x Building or 1 x Civil in the same Program period;
- previously enrolled into the same or equivalent qualification in an earlier Program term.
- a Participant seeking a Verification of Competency.
- Exceptions: A participant whose Employer is part of the Building and Construction Industry, undertaking relevant clerical, administration and professional roles.
List of evidence requirements a participant is required to provide:
- Green Medicare Card (Current) or My.gov Medicare snapshot
- Australian or New Zealand Passport (Up to 6 months after the expiry date)
- Australian or New Zealand Full Birth Certificate or Extract
- Australian Citizenship Certificate
- Employer letter on letter head, dated and signed by the employer
- Copy of ABN/ACN registration showing ownership and Invoices for recent work in the industry
- Statutory Declaration providing details of business registration and recent work in the industry
- This list is not exhaustive; additional documents may be required based on individual circumstances

CSQ FUNDING LIMITATIONS
The CSQ funding is subject to the following limitations:
- Short Courses: Eligible Participants can only undertake 8 units of competency in total.
- Higher Qualifications: Eligible Participants are not permitted to be enrolled in to multiple qualifications at the same time, including enrolment across the Higher Qualifications, Skills Assessment and Gap training, and Skill Set programs. Participants must fully complete one qualification before commencing another.
