Electrical Licence – Electrical Fitter to Electrical Mechanic Endorsement BRISBANE

This qualification provides competencies to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair, and maintain systems and equipment in buildings and premises. Persons gaining this qualification will be able to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment in buildings and premises. The qualification includes Electrical Regulatory Authorities Council requirements for an `Electrician’s Licence’.

Hybrid Training – Self-paced theory to be completed online and practicals/assessments to be completed in class under supervision.

Throughout the course, you will have access to your trainer via phone or email during normal business hours.

The course is a combination of online theory which can be done at your own pace and practical sessions are face-to-face which need to be completed at our Darra, QLD office. The practical component is an assessment. It is assumed that you have gained relevant on-the-job experience.

• Computer Literacy
• Access to personal laptop/desktop with a webcam (Company laptops with firewalls may not work)
• Reliable internet connection
• Headset for video conferencing and video lectures (Headset = Mic + Speakers)
• You will need a Gmail account to gain access to Google Drive to participate in this course
• A Valid Photo ID (e.g. Drivers licence)
• Australian Passport /Birth Certificate / Medicare Card
• Electrical work training permit
• Current Electrical Fitter Licence
• Protective footwear with safety toe cap and non-slip soles to AS2210
• 100% cotton drill industry-standard clothing required for all practicals
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as used gloves and safety glasses can be borrowed
• Students must demonstrate an appropriate level of language, literacy and numeracy skills and knowledge to undertake a course at this level.
• One must be physically fit to enrol on this course as it involves the use of tools, ladders, step ladders, use of harnesses, maneuvering through tight spaces and working outdoors.
• You must meet all the prerequisites of the below 4 units of competency
• Employer letter confirming workplace training in accordance with the training permit is mandatory for issuance of the course completion certificate (to be provided before booking the practical).

A soft copy of the learner resource book or lecture notes is free, and we will provide it as a Google Drive link only and not as a PDF.
If you require a hard copy, a printing charge of $150 for each copy and a $100 binding charge per copy will be collected from the student.
Australian standards cannot be printed due to copyright restrictions but are available for borrowing for the duration of the course with a refundable deposit of $250 per copy. Soft copies are free to use on Ausinet laptops while in class.

You will also need to have an email address, a laptop and a reliable internet connection in order to complete the online theory part of the course. Enclosed footwear must be worn at all times when you are on the premises.

You will receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment upon successful course completion

Ausinet, as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), recognises the Australian Qualifications Framework qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by any other Australian RTO. You are encouraged to submit requests for credit from previous studies when enrolling to ensure that you are not enrolling in units you may not need to undertake. If you have completed units at other RTO and you think they may count towards the award requirements of the course you are enrolled in at Ausinet, submit an official copy of your results for the units you have undertaken. Credit transfer may fast-track your course.

Recognition of prior learning also referred to as RPL, is the formal acknowledgment of a person’s current skills and knowledge experience gained throughout life – regardless of how they have been acquired.

This is an important assessment pathway, particularly for working people who are considering doing a course. The recognition gained may considerably reduce the study time needed to get a qualification.

RPL is not available for this course

Further training pathways from this qualification include but are not limited to Certificate IV and Diploma level qualifications in Hazardous areas, Instrumentation, HVAC, Transmission, Renewable energy, Automation etc.
