Like any other vocational course this is a competency-based training. If you demonstrate the required skills and knowledge along with the defined performance criteria for the nominal hours you will be deemed qualified

No, Everyone one comes with different level of knowledge. Some students may not finish in the allocated time as they could be inexperienced or have less grasping abilities of the concepts. I AM NOT GOOD AT MATHEMATICS. CAN I STILL DO THE COURSE?
You don’t have to be an expert at Math but you must know the basics. This should have been covered during your Electrical apprenticeship. If you know how to calculate maximum demand and fault loop impedance then you are on your way. Let the trainer know If you require a Math refresher so you are not struggling in the class
I HAVE DONE MY CERT 4 IN INSTRUMENTATION BUT I CAN’T REMEMBER ANYTHING AS IT WAS ONLINE AND I JUST GOOGLED THE ANSWERS

I HAVE DONE MY CERT 3 INSTRUMENTATION WITH ANOTHER COMPANY BUT I HAVEN’T LEARNT ANYTHING. CAN I GET A DISCOUNT TO REPEAT THE COURSE WITH YOUR ORGANISATION AS I HAVE JUST PAID MORE THAN $5000 WHICH WAS A WASTE?
The best we can do is give you a 20% discount to repeat the course with us. We won’t be issuing another certificate as you already have one.
WHY ARE SOME OF THE COURSES QUITE LONG?
The course involves lots of essential practical and theoretical knowledge which cannot be covered in any less time. It’s not a Childcare or Security guard course which can be done in one day. Think of it this way if you had to do a full-time course you would have to take annual leave or unpaid leave in addition to the course fees. This way it’s the fees only. There are other organizations which deliver this course in shorter periods. One can only imagine what you will learn there! I would recommend talking to those students so you get feedback.
ARE THERE MANY PRACTICALS?
The course is practical based. But the theory to back the practical’s will be covered in the first stage. There are many optional practicals available to sharpen your skills. It would be a good idea to do the optional practicals to make sure that it becomes second nature.
IS THE COURSE DIFFICULT?
Depends on your interpretation of difficult. If you like to upskill and gain knowledge to advance your career then you will put in the hard work so it becomes easy. If you are a person who is inquisitive, likes tinkering, won’t stop until its fixed then this course is definitely for you.
YOUR COURSE IS EXPENSIVE. I HAVE FOUND ANOTHER COMPANY THAT DOES IT CHEAPER?
There are only a handful of organizations in Australia that are genuinely interested in delivering the course. If you have just completed your Cert 4 in instrumentation and you still feel lost then you have done the course through one of those “Incompetent” RTOs. Those companies are giving away certificates for money. To them, you are just a number. A lot of these courses have been designed by inexperienced school teachers or engineers who have never done any work in the field. At the Australian Institute of Electro Technology, we take pride in our trade. Our trainers have 20 years’ experience in the field. They are subject matter experts. This course also covers process plant commissioning content as a part of this course. In effect, the course fees for Cert III in instrumentation and control is a lot less than what you would expect for a course of this caliber. Again get feedback from the students that are doing those courses and you will come to know the difference. Another test would be to check their instrumentation knowledge after you have finished your course. Your knowledge and employability will be better than the other students.
WHAT’S SO SPECIAL ABOUT THE AUSTRALIAN INSTITUTE OF ELECTRO TECHNOLOGY? WHY SHOULD I DO THE COURSE WITH YOU?
