Note: All terminologies mentioned below mean the same rating listed on the back of the panel or the datasheet of the panel. This is the maximum size of a string protection device in Amps. This calculator does not cover bifacial modules and assumes that the inverter back feed current (I_{BF STRING}) is 0.

Maximum series fuse rating or Module Reverse Current ratings or Maximum Overcurrent protection rating:

I_{Mod MAX OCPR}

Required if more than one string and if :

I_{BF STRING} + I_{F STRING} > I_{MOD MAX OCPR}

If Required, choose size of the string overcurrent protection:

I_n > 1.2 x I_{STRING MAX} And
I_n ≤ I_{MOD MAX OCPR}
