CREDIT TRANSFER
Ausinet, as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), recognises the Australian Qualifications Framework qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by any other Australian RTO. You are encouraged to submit requests for credit from previous studies when enrolling to ensure that you are not enrolling in units you may not need to undertake. If you have completed units at other RTO and you think they may count towards the award requirements of the course you are enrolled in at Ausinet, submit an official copy of your results for the units you have undertaken. Credit transfer may fast-track your course.
RPL
Recognition of prior learning also referred to as RPL, is the formal acknowledgement of a person’s current skills and knowledge experience gained throughout life – regardless of how they have been acquired.
This is an important assessment pathway, particularly for working people who are considering doing a course. The recognition gained may considerably reduce the study time needed to get a qualification.
The RPL assessment may include workplace observation, interviews and professional conversations, work samples and documented evidence.
STUDY PATHWAYS
After completing UEERE0051, students may progress to:
- Solar Design courses
- Battery Storage Design courses
- Renewable‑energy qualifications
- Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) accreditation pathways
JOB OPPORTUNITIES
This unit provides foundational knowledge and skills that support entry into the field of renewable energy system design. It is suitable for non-electricians and may assist learners seeking design-related roles or further study.
After completing this unit, learners may be suitable for roles such as:
- Renewable energy design assistant
- Solar system design support officer
- Renewable energy technical consultant (entry level)
- Solar sales and system advisor
- Renewable energy project support officer
- Energy efficiency advisor (entry level)
- Technical support representative for renewable energy products
- Estimating and quotations officer (renewable energy)
- Renewable energy administration and compliance support
Important: Completion of UEERE0051 alone does not qualify a person to independently design or approve renewable energy systems or obtain industry accreditation. This unit is intended as a stepping stone towards further qualifications, industry training, and accreditation requirements for professional renewable energy system designers.
