USER CHOICE PROGRAM
The User Choice program supports the delivery of accredited training to apprentices and trainees.
The program works in conjunction with the Commonwealth Australian Apprenticeships System, under which apprentices and trainees enter into legally binding training contracts with their employers and receive structured training to achieve a nationally recognised qualification.
This program is delivered over a 4-year period where the student will attend off-the-job training all other times the student will be performing on the job with the employer.
USER CHOICE STUDENT ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to receive a government contribution, the apprentice or trainee must:
- have entered into a Training Contract for a qualification that is funded by the department.
- be registered on DELTA with a commencement date or recommencement date on or after 1 July 2021
- select a training provider that holds SAS status for their nominated qualification.
USER CHOICE FUNDED COURSES
The following course offered by us is funded through User Choice subject to eligibility criteria and approvals:
UEE31220 – Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control
UEE30820 – Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician BRISBANE
STUDENT CONTRIBUTION FEES
Student contribution fees under the User Choice program are set at $1.60 per nominal hour for each unit of competency/module to be calculated at the commencement of the unit of competency/module. Student contribution fees are subject to annual adjustment.
Concession rates apply for students who hold a current Health Care Card or who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Click for more information
